TRAVEL VACCINATIONS & ADVICE
Travelling abroad? Please complete & submit our travel risk assessment form at least 6-8 weeks before you are due to travel abroad. Once they have received your form the practice nurses be in touch within 2-4 weeks (depending on your travel dates & staff availability) to offer medical advice regarding travel and vaccinations where appropriate.
Note that vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks so the earlier we receive your form the better.

Travel Vaccination Prices
Travel advice is covered by the NHS; however some vaccinations and prescriptions are only available privately. Payment for non-NHS services must be made at the first travel appointment. The cost of the vaccine is also payable to the chemist. You will be required to obtain the necessary vaccines and pay the pharmacy separately for these. A guide to our current charges is as follows:
Adult Private Prescription £20
Child Private Prescription £20
Adult Giving Fee £10
Child Giving Fee £10
Vaccines must be stored between 2 and 8 degrees in a refrigerator; the ideal way to do this is to ensure your prescription is handed to a pharmacy who can obtain and store the vaccines appropriately until required. We advise collecting the vaccines on your way to the appointment with the nurse for administration.
